FIGHTING HUNGER ONE BACKPACK AT A TIME
What is it?
A special program which operates within and is funded by Feed and Clothe My People.
Volunteers pack a small lunch bag during the school year. The bag contains 5 nutritious food items which go home inside the child’s backpack for the weekend. Available during the school year, closed when the weather is poor.

Who Receives?
Serving 277 children from preschool age to 5th grade. These are the children living in low-income households.
The Board of Directors at Feed My People have made a commitment not to leave out other children at home (over the age of 2 years old). Some children are taking home more than one bag each week.
